My Grandfather, Neal McGee, was born on January 31, 1873 at Correnagh, Leck and was baptized on Feb 3, 1873 at Letterkenny Catholic Church. His parents were Edward McGee and Margaret Herold. He immigrated to New York in 1899 and married Mary Phillips in Pueblo, Colorado in 1904. Before June 25, 1907, he immigrated again to Canada and settled in Islay, Alberta. He died as a result of being hit by a car while walking home from an agricultural fair on May 23, 1952.
Edward McGee was born around 1843 in Donegal. His father was James who also lived at Correnagh until his death on Mar 5, 1872. Banns for Edward's marriage to Margaret Herold were read on Feb 24, 1870 but no record of the marriage has been found. Margaret died on June 2, 1883 and Edward then married on June 30, 1887, Mary Kane, daughter of John Kane of Klenswilly (Killymasney?).
Edward and Margaret had 6 children. They were James (1871 - ?), Neal (1873-1952, Vermilion, Alberta), Charles (1875-1927, Pueblo, Colorado), Bridget (1877-1878), Susan (1879-1897) and Michael (1881-1890).
I am fairly certain that Edward had two brothers. One was Neil (1829-1902) who immigrated to Stamford Connecticut about 1851, married Maria Kein there on Jan 16, 1859 and died there on June 5, 1902. There are living descendants only from his oldest daughter, Mary Jane who married Patrick J. Donahue. A second brother was John McGee (1846-1900) who was of Trimragh at the time of his marriage on May 16, 1869 to Susan McGoldrick. John and Susan immigrated soon after their marriage to Stamford, Connecticut where 4 of their 6 children were born. They then relocated to Illinois where two more children were born. Before 1900 the family moved to Pueblo, Colorado. John is buried in Roselawn Cemetery at Pueblo, Colorado. This family has living descendants. Michael McGee (1836-1911) of Trimragh was likely also a brother of Edward.
I would like to know who Margaret Herold's parents were. I would also like to know what happened to James who was born in 1871. Did he marry and have children? I would also like to confirm that Michael McGee of Trimragh was Edward's brother. If possible, I would also like to learn the identity of Edward's mother.

With regard to the place name you are not sure about ?Klenswilly?. I suspect that's probably Glentillid which is the next townland immediately south of Correnagh.
I note that there was still a McGee/Magee farm in Correnagh in 1901:

The family had gone by 1911.
