  • Hi,

It is unfortunately very hard to find records earlier than 1800.

Brookens is quite an unusual name but I did find the name on the Donegal Genealogy Resources website. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~donegal/

They are death records from the mid 1800's

    March 23 1869

March 18, at Carrowkeel, Quigley's Point, ANNIE, daughter of MR. SAMUEL BROOKENS, aged 3 years and 7 months

    March 30 1869

March 23, at Carrowkeel, Quigley's Point, RICHARD, son of MR. SAMUEL BROOKENS, aged 1 year and 4 months

From this we know that there was a Samuel Brookens living in the civil parish of Upper Moville at Carrowkeel, Quigleys Point.

Maybe you could try to contact the local church in Quigley's point to see if there is any other record of Brooken families in the area.

    Good luck with your search.

    Regards,

    Eimer
