Good afternoon -
I am looking for Margaret Oliver (b. abt 1844) and married on 3 Dec 1864 to James Boyle (b. abt 1839). He was a stone quarrier in Scotland. I am unsure exactly where they were married, but on their daughter's birth certificate in Scotland, they said they were born in Donaghmore, Co. Donegal. I am unsure of when they left for Scotland, but ended up in Lankashire area. Margaret Oliver had a brother named Charles Oliver. Margaret Oliver and James Boyle had the following children: James, Mary, Hannah, Charles and Margaret Ann. I know that James was born abt 1866 and that Margaret Ann was born in 1879. Margaret Ann was definitely born in Scotland.
I am unsure of their parish or townland and am taking at stab that they might be in the Raphoe area.
If anyone has any thoughts, would be glad to hear them. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
You did not mention a religious denomination for the couple and to clarify did they marry in Ireland or Scotland?
I looked at Roots Ireland and the only baptismal record for a Margaret Oliver was in 1842 in a Methodist church. Ballintra is in southern Donegal between Ballyshannon and Donegal town.
According to Roots they have the RC, Presbyterian, and C of I church records in their data base for Donaghmore parishand they should include 1844.
