    Hi Trish,

Just to clarify, is there a specific query that we may be able to help you with?

  • Thanks, but nothing specific unless you know anything about the people mentioned.

  • Hi Trish,

I just wanted to say thanks for posting all the information on the Johnston and Killen family.

My wife's maiden name is Johnston and she was thrilled to see the family history you researched to date. You and Elizabeth share the same bloodline. Her Gradnfather was also David Johnston and Grandmother Annie Whoriskey.

We are actually going across from Scotland to Donegal on Saturday, 1st June for a week's holiday. Elizabeth is so excited because she was very young when she last visited and has not been in touch with any family members in Ireland since then. I hope we can catch up with a few long lost cousins while we are there.

If you would like to let us know how your family line is conected and how you found yourself in Australia please do. Elizabeth's Father was one of David's sons - Edward (Eddie Johnston).

We'll let you know how our trip goes and if we find anything interesting we'll pass it on. If you want to ask anything in relation to what Elizabeth knows please contact us. Might be quite limited though.

    Thanks again

    Paul

  • Hi Trish

My GGG grandfather was David Killen, through his daughter Elizabeth and her son John Cromie.  John married in Glasgow (a Donegal girl!) but his daughter Harriet married a man from Co Tyrone and she became my grandmother.  I am in England.

Only sorry I can't compete on closeness of relationship with Paul!
