My maternal great-grandmother was MARGARET BROWN born abt. 1839, Donegal). Her parents were FRANCIS MICHAEL BROWN and ANNABELLE(A) MACLEANEY(sp?). Parents details come from Margaret's marriage certificate and mother's surname is difficult to decipher. Margaret m THOMAS PRICE in 1863, Victoria, Australia.
When visiting Ireland as a child in 1960, we went to Ballybofey to see my grandmother's "cousin". REV. JOHN BOYLE. He was no longer alive but an elderly gentleman we met in the main street said that he had been taught by Rev. Boyle. We were directed to the school where he'd taught and also to his burial site (see attached pics). I'll be visiting Ballybofey in 2014 and would very much like to find out as much information on the families that I can prior to my visit.
I also have a photo of Margaret and her daughters.

Further to my post of 2013 re Brown/Boyle family of Ballybofey I thought I'd attach the Australian marriage certificate of my g-grandparents, Margaret Brown and Thomas Price in Victoria, Australia in 1863. I've never managed to decipher the surname of Margaret's mother despite showing it to many, many people so I'm hoping there will be someone in Stranlor/Ballybofey who will recognise the name!
