My great great grandfathers name was Thomas James Curran Sr. born in Down, in 1844 and died in Miami, Indiana in 1920. He married Jenny/Jennie Mayes born 1848. I do not know her death date nor where she was born. My great grandfather my Thomas James Curran born 1876 in Chicago so Inknow sometime before then they immigrated to the USA, he had at least 3 siblings: Rosie Mollie, and Anna.I am having trouble finding Thomas and Jennies parents. anything would be helpful. Thanks!

You don't mention the religious denomination. I searched Roots Ireland from 1839-1849 for a Thomas Curran baptismal record and the only two that came up were in 1844 but one was Presbyterian and the other Church of Ireland. So if your ancestor was RC, these records are off target.
I also looked for Jennie Mayes and there was no baptismal record anywhere in Ireland close to 1848.
You may want to consider autosomal DNA testing.
