i am looking for any info into my 3erd great grandparents family i have only just found out they are from newtonards they are called john mourning but once he came to the uk they changed there name to murning and his wife was elizabeth mcgarry does any one know how i can go further back please thanks dean

i have got my 3 erd grt grandafther john being born in newtonards in 1841 i have also just found out his parents came to whitehaven after this they where william murnian and mary ann kelly they were sponsored by a bridget bready. it also mentions ballyculter as there parish
there surname is always changing all through my tree my grandfather is anthony murning his grandfather was mourning and his was murnian i am finding this hard work haha thanks for all your help
