I am researching my father's family - LOWEY - and have traced as far back as Richard Lowey who married in Liverpool in 1820. He seems to be the Richard Lowey, son of William Lowey and Mary McNight, baptised in Kilcoo in October 1789. He had at least one brother - John, son of William and Mary, baptised in October 1787. There could also be two other brothers, Robert and William. All of them were stone masons and ended up in Liverpool. Any information on the Kilcoo Loweys would be great!
