Looking for information about my maternal grandmother's family. My grandmother's father John McEvoy (I believe it changed to McAvoy when they came to America) was born in Drumaness in County Down on August 16, 1881 at some point he married Rose Fagan who was born in England in 1885, I think at some point she moved to Ireland.
John dies in Pennsylvainia (I think) on November 22, 1958.
John's parents were Henry (or Henery) McEvoy (b circa 1844) and Alice (or Alicee) Kennedy (b circa 1852)
any information is appreciated and I would love to hear from some distant relatives.

The surname was McAvoy in both the 1901 and 1911 censuses. I located the 1871 civil marriage index record for Henry and Allicia. You canget a copy of the record from the General Register Office for around 4 euros. The record will show the names of the fathers of the bride and groom and where the bride and groom were living in 1871.
