  • Hi think it is clear were the Gray name came from

    Stephen Weir age 7 lived with his aunt and uncle Percy Gray and Margaret Anne Gray nee Weir at the address 16 Old Park Road, Clifton county Antrim .Mr Gray was the town postman

    Margaret Ann was 39 in 1911 so born about 1872. Young Stephen was born around 1903 in Belfast

  • Nathaniel Weir married Essie Glenny in 1870 Newry, there are several death registrations for the name Nathaniel Weir it will take time to find the correct one.

  • yep, i have this info, thanks, i'm trying to find out more about why Stephen Weir was sent by his dad James William Weir to live with his uncle Percy Gray and aunt  Margaret Anne Weir - yes, she was b. 1872.
    also would like more info on JWW wife, occupation, where did he live, how did he die early. etc.
    Annie Cheadle married Stephen Weir, but he died early of "consumption"  about 1939. Annie  was tough, outlived 2 more husbands.
    Stephen and Annie's  son Percy Gray Weir  ( my dad) was 10 at that time. PGW died in canada a bit early too of asbestos that they sprayed in the shipyard in belfast.

    any help greatly appreciated, also looking for info on Sarah Sadie Cheadle, b. 1909, (annie cheadle's sister) married to John Courtney (no info), particularly want inof for her living Daughter  Catherine courtney.
