I would like to find out what happened to Sophia DOUGHERTY nee Chambers

she had twin girls in 1902 before she married William James DOUGHERTY in 1908.

They are on the 1911 census Britannia Street, St George's   Antrium

Any help would be gratefully accepted one of the twins (Caroline May CHAMBERS) came to New Zealand with Sophia's sister in 1921 and was my grandmother.

    Thank you for your message. Have you tried looking in civil records for information on Sophia?  Civil records are available from the General Register?s Office in Dublin. Here is their website:

    You can search the indexes to these records up to 1958 online at:

    Also, you could check in local newspapers to see if you can find her obituary, which may give you some information.
