In the 1851 Griffiths valuation, my 2x great grandfather, Henry Butler was on Donnybrook Road, when his wife Sarah, a widow, died, in 1866 she was living in the same house. But I have been unable to locate a memorial and yes, maybe no memorial may have been erected, but wouldn't the widow have erected one after the death of her husband. Their 2 daughters (one was 18, the other 10) went off to live with aunts (one in Canada and the other in Ballybunnion). So where could they have been buried or where would they have been to a C of I church? Where my great great grandmother was baptised in September of 1856? This is one of my brick walls. though I have found Henry Butler married Sarah Hall at the German reform Church, a clandestine marriage probably because Sarah Hall was 14 at the time. Any help or suggestions would be welcome. Henry was a printer who went bankrupt in the late 1840's and their older children were baptized at St Peter's. While Henry was a printer they lived on William Place, lower Dublin.
Any suggestions?
Wendy

The old Church of Ireland Church was located in Donnybrook village, about where the Garda (Police) station is now. The church was replaced with a larger building on Anglesea Road. The graveyard adjacent to the old church still exists, and I seem to remember there are some headstone transcripts available - I will check into this and get back to you.
Records for the parish are available at the Representative Church Body Library in Rathfarnham Co. Dublin, and cover Baptisms, Marriages and Death/Burials back to 1712. Copies also seem to be available on microfilm in the National Archives.

There a good collection of photos by Bridgid Wilson of the surviving headstones at Donnybrook on the IGP website

Thank you. I checked out the web site you suggested. I liked the way the link listed the names alphabetically. I am a subscriber of the IGP website and have been searching for it for a longtime looking for possibilities but hadn't ever seen them that way. I wonder if my Henry Butler is connected to those buried in the 18 th century, the names were used by my great grandmother's familly, Eleanor for example.
