Hi Margaret,
Thank you for your message.
Church records from Dublin city have been uploaded free of charge to http://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/ You may be able to find some record of Edward?s birth in these. Another useful website is the Irish Times where they give an overview of what Catholic records are available in specific parishes . For parishes in Dublin city follow this link.
With regards to his marriage to Margaret. Generally weddings took place in the bride?s parish or town of origin. However there seems to be some confusion over where this marriage occurred.
I cannot find a reference to a Randalston, however there is a Randalstown in Co. Antrim. In Drummaul civil parish:
With regards to Coleraine, this is a parish in Co. Derry:
Have you tried looking up Edward?s service record? For more information go to the UK National Archives at: http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/records/looking-for-person/

Hi Margaret,
I am a direct descendent of Edward Loggan and Margaret Rusk. I have tons of information for all the descendents. There is even a book in NZ written about the first settlers, so of whom were the Logans, descendents of Margaret and Edward. I have info on the Canadian Logans as well if you are interested.
Please feel free to contact me.

Hi Donna,
I have a feeling you are the Donna I have written to over the past years.
If you have been to NZ and Awhitu with Miles and family at Tokoroa you will guess who I am and know we have been down this track..
If not I would love to hear from you and sort a few things out.
We have been away and once home been quite busy. I have only looked at this site again today.
looking forward to a reply.
If you see this in time, all the very best for the Christmas Season and 2014.
Kind Regards.
