I am interested in finding out if records regarding the inmates of Marshalsea still exist. I am looking at the period of 1820-1845. I have contacted the National Archives and am waiting for a reply. Would this be the only place that would still have the records or is there somewhere else to search?

It is likely the best place to start - I am unaware of the existence of these records on Ancestry or Find My Past for example, but it woUld be no harm to check them out either.
