My great grandparents lived in Mullagh,  Dromahair,  from 1863 until 1887, when Bridget died.  They had 10 children.  I don't know where either of them were born, nor do I know the names of their parents.  I have only been able to trace my grand Aunt Mary's descendants.   No luck with the other 8, excluding my grandfather, who was born in 1870.  Seeking any family information.

The 1857 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Drumlease civil parish showed an Ellen Mulligan in Mullagh. My guess is that she was the mother of Thomas. The Drumlease RC parish records start in 1859 https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0829  so unlikely that baptismal records are available for Thomas or Bridget.

You have Bridget dying in 1887 (and I saw the death record) but this may be her in the 1901 census with son Patrick. The age for Patrick fits with his baptismal year (1863)

See fourth record for 1902 death for Bridget Mulligan of Mullagh. Husband shown as Michael Mulligan.

  • Thank you for your feedback.  I believe that Michael is Thomas's brother and Bridget is Bridget Scott, his wife.  I am quite sure the death certificate for Bridget Mulligan is my great grandmother.  I have Ellen as a potential 2x great grandmother in my tree.  I really appreciate your efforts and feel that I am on the right track.  According to my grandparents' marriage certificate, both of my great grandparents were deceased by 1906.
