My great great grandparents, Thomas Maguire and Lucy Patterson were the fifth couple to be married in the Cornagee Church of Ireland (which is now the Mullaghdun parish church) November 24, 1820.
Thomas born about 1782, Lucy born about 1806. Lucy shown on the transcript as being from Cleggan townland, Thomas shown as from "Derrybyon, Rossorry". (No such place. Probably a transcription error perhaps of Drumlyon, Rossorry.)
They emigrated to Canada in July 1847 aboard the Superior out of Londonderry with 5 children including my great grandad James.
I could use some help finding a record of Lucy's parents, and finding Thomas' origin.

Presbyterian registers are held in three main locations: in local custody, in the Public Records of Northern Ireland (PRONI) http://www.proni.gov.uk/index/family_history.htm and at the Presbyterian Historical Society http://www.presbyterianhistoryireland.com/index.php?id=3 in Belfast. PRONI has microfilm copies of almost all registers in Northern Ireland and also lists of records held by the Presbyterian Historical Society.
