Our ancestor Rutherford Cathcart Hamiliton Porteus was  born 1767 in or near the the castle in Monea.  His father(no name) is supposeably buried in the vault in the church.  Are there any records available online or elsewhere for that church?  Any help or direction would be appreciated.  Thank you  Batbara Porteus

    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

If you go to Rootsireland you will see that there is a headstone  transcription for Rutherford that states:

THE BURYING PLACE OF ROTHERFORD C.H. PORTEUS DIED 17TH JUNE 1867 AGED
    80 YEARS.

He is buried in plot D20 in Christ Church and died 17th June 1867 and was from the parish of Maguiresbridge.

A Limerick City Library obituary entry refers to Rutherford, though a little vague on where they got the info from. (You can see the word document online if you google 'Rutherford Cathcart Hamiliton Porteus'):

Porteous                             Rutherford Cathcart Hamilton  Cecil Street                            18/06/1867   aged 79

    Best wishes
