My gr.grandfather Henry Noble born Mar 11, 1845 in Dromore, Co. Fermanagh,  married Margaret Mccutchen June 14, 1864 in Drumkeeran (according to IGI records, groom's father's name is John Noble, bride's fahter is James Mccutchen), and sailed for Canada the same year. They had four children, one died age 14 months in 1866, and the other three died along with their mother Margaret in 1871 of scarlett fever. Henry remarried and this second marriage produced my grandmother Marion Alma Noble. Henry may have had a brother Edward, born about 1849.

Any help would be appreciated

  • There are 3 townlands named Dromore in Fermanagh.  One in Derryvullan, one Devenish, one Inishmacsaint.

14/6/1864  Henry NOBLE  age 21 Bach.   Farmer Dromore Big   Father John Noble   Bride Margaret McCutcheon 20 Spin.   Russian (Rushin?) father James McCutcheon.

    Attached Drumkeeran baptism transcripts.

If you check PRONI revised valuation books you should be able to work out which Dromore - most likley Derryvullan that they lived in.

  • Thank you so much for the link to the Tubrid births, marriages and deaths.    VERY much appreciated.

Found it by accident, and thrilled to bits as my Noble family are included.   (Ann Noble b.9.8.1818 to parents Edward and Dorathy - and her siblings).    Thank you so much.
