I am looking for any information about my great, great grandfather John McCabe who was married to Bridget Connolly and who's children were: Alice,Catherine, James, John, Matthew, Michael, Peter, William(my great grandfather) and George. His afther amy have been called James but there is no record of his mothers name on Ancestory. Griffith's Valuation has him living in Cloncorick in 1862 next to Bernard, Henry and Matthew McCabe (His brothers?) I would like to know exactly where Cloncorick Townland is on a map and what life was like for these people described as farmers. Is there a local newspaper from that time that could shed light on life in this area. Any information would be welcome.
