My ADAMS family is from Enniskillen. James ADAMS married Alice SHEENAN / SHANNON in 1854 and had two known sons; William b. 1869 and James ADAMS b. c1862. Son, William ADAMS married Mary Jane HUESTON / HUSTON in 1882 and had four children William, Elizabeth, James and Patrick, before immigrating to the USA in 1891. Son James ADAMS married Sara NOLAN in 1883 and I list 8 children; Eliza Jane, Patrick, Alice, Mary, Minnie, James Francis, John Joseph and William.
Looking for any additional information on this family and their descendants

Below are the 1901 and 1911 census records for James Adams and family. 1911 census indicates only six children born to Sara but I think that is a mistake since six children are listed and they are all unmarried yet there is an Adams grandchild and a Curran grandchild. The family lived in Derrymackin townland in 1901 and Dame St. in Enniskillen in 1911.

I also found an Alice Adams in the 1901 census with two sons Hugh and Philip. I did not locate her in the 1911 census. I did find a death index record for an Alice Adams who died in 1902 in the Enniskillen district. You may want to write to the GRO www.groireland.ie for a copy of the record.

Minnie is a kind of nickame for Mary, in 1901 there is 12yo Minnie, in 1911 there is 23yo Mary.
They would be the same person imo.
The eldest girl Eliza Jane is missing from 1901 Census ??
There is no mention of a Patrick in either Census.
There seem to a few children born to a James ADAMS and an Alice SHANNON in the 1860s and 1870s, in Lisbellew, about 5 miles from Enniskillen.
