Looking for information on McLaughlin & McCreey

There is a mailing list I belong to and some members are researching the McLaughlin family.

There was a Mary McLaughlin born in Enniskillen in 1865, and another in 1869.

There were other Mary McLaughlins born in Fermanagh around the same time...

There were nearly 80 McLaughlins living in Fermanagh in 1901, so without the name of a Street if she was born in a Town, or the name of a Townland if she was born on a Farm, it is difficult to know which is the right family.

Where did Mary live in Australia ??

Did she marry, if so who ??

Did she have children ??

Hello Sean, Mary is proving to be a bit elusive.  My Aunt has her born 22/2/1864 in Enniskillen, parents Thomas McLaughlin and Eliza McCreery.  I don't know where she got this from though - I can't get a sensible answer out of her!  I've 'found' a female child (possibly Mary) born in Lisbellaw 28/6/1865 to Thomas and Eliza. I've also found their marriage on 8/11/1853 in Lisnaskea. I don't actually know if this is   'my' Mary.

Mary immigrated to Australia in 1887?? I have a possible arrival on the ship Jumna in Rockhampton Qld 18/9/1887 with an Eliza MacLaughlin.  However, Mary married a Charles Edward Sturges on 21/9/1887 in Hughenden Qld - 3 days later!! In those days it would have been impossible to get from Rocky to Hughenden in 3 days (let alone meet, decide to marry etc).  The marriage record has her as Minnie Mcloughlin. I also have a 3 person Thos McLaughlin family arriving on 22/8/1887. However Thomas is supposed to be on the 1901 Irish census aged 70 - he could have returned to Ireland I guess.

Charles died in Oct1893 and Mary remarried to a Francis Parsons in Nov1894. She had 4 children to Charles and 2 to Francis. The eldest child was born 4/12/1888. 

Hope this can get me somewhere.
