I am researching James Lunny and Elizabeth MGuire who left ireland in 1868 and arrived Victoria Australia and Married there.  It was rumoured elizabeth had an uncle who was lord enisklillen and she was a governess they eloped not sure if this is true

  • Fermanagh is the home of the Maguires so tracing Elizabeth is almost impossible without some other data - parents, siblings, approx. year of birth.  Lunny again is a name I have encountered but you would need more data to identify his roots.


    Earl of Enniskillen was a Cole. If Elizabeth was a governess she may have worked at Florence Court the Cole residence, but I would be sceptical of any family connection. At that time the class of family would pretty much marry within their own social class - peerage/landed gentry.
