  • Usual source for baptism, parents and siblings details are parish records. You don?t say what denomination Christopher was but I?d assume Church of Ireland. Magheracross COI records start in 1800, so that covers the period of his birth. So you may be able to find the information you are after.

I am not sure whether those records are on-line (I suspect not). They are not listed on the rootsireland site anyway. There is a copy in PRONI (the public record office) in Belfast. There may also be one in the RCB library in Dublin. Neither set is on-line and a personal visit will be required to access them. (You can also write to the Rector/Vicar at Magheracross but be aware that the Church of Ireland generally charges for such research. ?19 an hour.)

  • Christopher is my Great-great-great Grandfather. His parents were Christopher and Mary Wilson (dates uknown). Brothers and sisters, Robert, Ann, Thomas, David and fo course a John. Christopher followed his sister Ann and her husband Alexander to Cape St. Vincent. His brother Thomas later followed.
