Hi, my name is Katelyn.
I'm researching my 4xgreat grnadpparents John Monaghan and Helen Murray from Scarden, Fermanagh. They are listed on the 1883 marriage cert of their son John Monaghan who married Elizabeth Mills in Scotland (although both were born in Fermanagh). Helen is listed as deceased. I'm unsure if her name was Helen or maybe Ellen? I can;t find her or her husband John Monaghan anywhere. Their son was born in about 1858 but I'm not sure if they had any other children.

Scardans Upper and Lower are in the civil parish of Belleek:
The only marriage for a John Monaghan I can see on rootsireland.ie is in 1871, slightly too late if they were to appear later on their son?s marriage record in 1883. How accurate is that marriage date, is there a record of it?
Records for the RC parish of Belleek begin in 1851 for baptisms and 1836 for marriages. I cannot see a record for any children for John and Ellen./Helen/Mary Ellen on rootsireland. It may be that they were married and children were born in another parish where records no longer exist.
There are a few John Monaghan entries on Griffith?s Valuation, though none for Belleek. He may (if we leased land at all) have leased it in a neighbouring parish:
