There are 4 Thomas Burke baptism records on www.rootsireland.ie/ but none is from Galway or Kilkenny

Three are BOURKE: 1799 Waterford 1799 Tipperary & 1800 Tipperary

The BURKE 1 is 1799 Waterford

It costs to view the full record on rootsireland but it will have the parish and MAYBE the parents' names.

However the MacInnes family tree on ancestry.com has Thomas as born 1799 Dungarven, Waterford & died 14 March 1886 Colindales Nova Scotia. Father's name John.

There very few records in Ireland that go back to 1799 - compulsory registration of Births did not begin until 1864 for Catholics, and c.1846 for other denominations.

I am not sure if there would be Church Baptism records going back that far - and you would need to know in which Parish they lived in to locate the right church.

However...

These entries appear to be for the same Thomas BURKE, but there seems to be a dispute over where he was born...

Thomas Burke was born in Kilkenny, Ireland, and came with his parents to St. John's, Newfoundland. He then came to Nova Scotia. See Mabou Pioneers1, page 232.
In the census of 1881 Thomas Burke is listed as 82 years old.
Thomas was age 87 when he died, according to his gravestone at St. Mary'sCemetery, Mabou, N.S..
