    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

We would be glad to assist. Please provide more details on your husband's  Fahy/Kiggins in Ireland. Names/Dates. From a quick review of the 1901 census it appears they were from Feagh West and Laragh More townlands.

  • Hello again Roger,

    Here goes :)

    Husbands paternal line

Grandfather John Fahy 1872 - 1949. Married Mary Kiggins 1879 - 1961. Her parents Patrick Kiggins and Bridget Carroll, her G parents Patrick Kiggins and Judith Lawless.

GGrandfather William Fahy 1846- 1908 married Mary King 1839 - 1910. I don't have any parents for Mary King.

Possible GGGrandfather David Fahy. married Bridget Baine. I have no other information.

Even if these ancestors can be confirmed that would be a start.

    Many thanks again

    Mandy

Here is a start. I will be back with more. Mary Kiggins and John Fahey were married in 1900. See civil marriage index record. I also located the 1901 census record for Mary's parents in Feagh West. Note the census transcribers incorrectly showed Feafh West as Peagh West.

    thank you for the information.

I am sure that the John Fahy is the marriage. The 'e' in my husbands surname is sometimes used amnd sometimes not.

    Regards
