My 3rd Great Grandfather Joseph Perry was listed in the Tithe applotment book in 1825 Galway County, Aughrim Parish, Caltra Townland as having a small 10 acre plot.  One response from Sineade Cooney in 2015 indicated that this location is likely Caltragh 15 km NW of Aughrim. After a facinating visit to Aughrim and tracing the family through Canada and to USA I have records of their journey and the descendents of one branch but am seeking more on this ancestral line.  Joseph's father John is believed to have lived in Tuam and my search for his grandfather is lead me to Wexford where I have posting for Anthony Perry.  Having grown up as Catholic and discovering these Protestant ancestors and experiencing the Catholic/Protestant divide during my visit to Aughrim and attending a Church of Ireland service and meeting the Cannon and members, the history of Ireland came alive.  Anthony is believed to have been born in Wales 1670 and was a soldier for William of Orange up to the battle of Aughrim and believed to have lived in PerryMont near the town of Gorey in Wexford.

Seeking to connect and link up to find more of their history.  Willing to share my records.
