I found Roger Conry in the 1798 Flax Growers list of 1796. I'm not sure if he is mine. Family tradition only said Ireland. A cousin said Galway, possibly Ballynakill. Roger married Mary (unknown) and was father of Patrick Conry born 1810. Patrick Conry married Hannah Walsh. Hannah (born 1819) is the daughter of John Walsh and Mary Mullen. Patrick and Hannah emigrated with several children to the United States about 1855 to escape their "dire circumstances" according to family lore. Hannah had brothers that also came with them.
I would love to narrow down the location for further research.

Thanks for the assistance. I will check this all out. I have tried Griffith's but the lists I came up with were either after they left or not enough to identify. I also didn't think of this spelling variation.
