I'm looking for more information about the Moran and Kyne families of townland Ballyconlought, Cargin parish. Here is what I know so far, sources 1901, 1911 Census, Griffith's Valuation and family notes:

My great grandparents wereThomas Moran (b. about 1841, died after 1911) and Bridget Kyne (born about 1851, died 11 August 1903).   

Thomas' mother Anne was 90 in the 1901 Census, spoke only Irish. She died 25 December 1901.

My grandfather John Joseph Moran (b. 1880, died 1937 in New York, emigrated to USA 1903, not in 1901 census. Whereabouts 1901 unknown.

Great aunt Mary Moran (1881-1968 (USA) and great uncle Martin (born 1883, died ?) are in the 1901 Census. Martin stayed in Ireland and was in the 1911 Census. He never married.

Griffith's Valuation lists a John Moran as tenant at Ballyconlought in 1855. There are several Kynes listed there as well.

I intend to visit Ireland in May 2015 and will consult the Genealogical Office at the National Library. In the meantime any suggestions for online research are most welcome.

    It looks like Thomas and Bridget were married in 1879. You can get a copy of this record from the General Register Office for around 4 euros. The record will show the names of the fathers of the bride and groom and where the bride and groom were living in 1879. If you want to get a copy let me know and I will forward instructions. Also, below are two possible civil death index records for Thomas. The 1913 record is more likely.
