I am researching the surnames of Goonane or Guinane or Goonan also Tuohy,Watson and Roonan. The Goonane and Watson families were at Ballyhinch, others at Derrainy and Meelick. Some Roonan's were at Furnace.Any information about them would be fantastic.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
You don't mention timeframes or given name. Here is a link to the 1855/1856 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Clonrush parish http://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths/galway/clonrush.htm All of your surnames and townlands are mentioned.

Dates for ancestors go back to early 1800's with a Michael Goonane 1800-1854? and wife Honoria Watson 1800-1872 at Ballyhinch near Whitegate. Also Patrick Tuohy and Margaret Roonan born about 1815 and both died before 1856 who were from Woodford. Many of the children from both these couples migrated to Australia. Few records can be found for the last couple, but some including Griffiths valuations and tithe applotments relate to Goonane's at Ballyhinch. A son of Michael Goonan's and daughter of Patrick Tuohy married in Australia. I have data on all the children of both couples, but mostly interested in any more information about Watson and Roonan.
