Hi,
Saw the name Kiggins in an old post. We are searching for the orgins of my husbands ancestors. We do not know where in Ireland they were from. William Kiggans/Kiggins born 1820's he married Margaret Oakes/Oaks about 1848. They immigrated to America around 1850 - 1851. In Ireland they had 2 children Michael born abt 1848-1849 and Bridget born 1849 - 1850. Both came to America with their parents. I know they were in America June 1852 when another child was born in Georgia. Any information is appreciated.
Thank you in advance

I have Kiggins relatives that are from Roxborough near Kilchreest. My family (Ward) married into the Kiggins family. My family is from Kilchreest.

Hi James. This site is awful for communicating. I have info on Father Tom Kiggins and attempted to post but was blocked. Reach me at aliceoneill@ yahoo.com. Just ran across your September post re the Wards.

Bob,
I never saw your post before today. I was in Roxborough in 59, 1992 and again in 2019 with my cousin Shaun Kiggins whose mother was Winnie Ward. Think Tommy had passed away before my last visit. How is you are familiar with them?
I understood my Uncle Jack knew Winnie as a neighbor. I don’t think my mother ever lived in Roxborough. She emigrated to the US to be with sisters. Born in Kilbeacanty though.
Hope you are still around to get this. And, tell me a little about yourself.
