I have lots of names but still need to prove the information. Daniel Murphy was born abt. 1851 in Kilquane (I haven't been able to locate his birth records). I believe he is the son of John Robin Murphy and Catherine O'Connor. They married abt. 1834 maybe in Rathmore Parish. His siblings are maybe: Ellen DOB 05May1838, Thomas DOB 02Jan1840, Patrick 'Paddy" DOB1845, Catherine DOB 11Jun1846, Michael DOB 30May1852 & Hanora DOB abt1860. I have this imformation via Ancestry but need to prove it with actual documentation. I have more information on the families but not the proof. Daniel Murphy married Bridget Donaghue (aka Biddy Darby) February 1874 at 20 yrs of age. She was born in Kiltrasna, Gortdromakerrrie. They went on to have 13 children and I have proof of all their children but need to work with the earlier generations. My great grandfather was one of those children and he come to New Zealand in 1913. I know where all basically everyone from NZ is.
I am coming to Ireland in particular the Killarney area specifically to research. I organised a family reunion last year and have a book partly written which will come out in December this year - 100 years in NZ.

It appears that I have stumbled on the Murphy family as well. Daniel is my wife's 1st cousin 4x removed. Yes Daniel married Bridget Donoghue on 2 Jan 1874 in Rathmore Parish, Co Kerry. I would certainly love to hear about all your findings as this is just the tip of the iceberg for me. Slainte!
