Michael Melody son of Martin from Graveshill married Elizabeth Haverty of Somersett daughter of Martin Haverty in Clontuskert church on Nov 1st 1875 by Fr Thomas Mulkern pp with witnesses Thomas Hanney and Agnes Haverty
Michael's father was probably the son of Matthew Meledy in the Griffith's Valuation in plot #2 Graveshill
Michael and Elizabeth emigrated soon after to Liverpool and I am looking to find any possible connection back to Graveshill that he might have Hopefully there may be some living relations but if not any information about the Melodys would be appreciated
Thanks
Martin

Martin:
Below is the civil marriage index record. You can get a copy of the civil record by contacting the GRO www.groireland.ie The civil record will show the fathers names of the bride and groom and where they were living in 1875. Fill out the GRO form and provide the year of marriage, registration district (Ballinasloe) and the volume and page number (19 and 19). Costs around 4 euros.
