Searching for John Henry Miskell, born 16 Sep, 1871 in County Galway.  Father's name, John Henry Miskell. Source of information: death certificate- IL, USA

    I went to www.familysearch.org and found some conflicting information. I found a baptismal index record for a John Mescall born 9/16/1871 to John Mescall and Mary Brien (see below). I also found two 1871 birth index records for a John Mescall in the Kilrush registration district (which included Kilmihil). One was recorded in Volume 14 page 374 and the other was recorded in Volume 4 page 493.

    Finally I found an 1871 birth index record in the Glennamaddy Galway registration district for a John Miscal (no related baptismal index record). See record below.

    Is it possible that John was born in Clare? If not, I would pursue getting a copy of the Glennamaddy record from the GRO www.groireland.ie . I'm still concerned that the Kilmihill record has the exact birthday that you provided.
