My great grandparents, Patrick Burke & Maria Keating were married in Loughrea in 1858. Maria probably died c1889 and Pat re-married in 1892 (I have this from a former search done 15 years ago.) Their known children (Helena or Nellie, Michael, Thomas, Mary E, and Patrick) all immigrated to Boston/Salem at end of 19th c. My grandmother, Mary E. was born in Loughrea c1874 (maybe in Tullahill - from former search). I would like to know more about the parents of Patrick Burke and Maria Keating (I suppose born in the 1830s). Maria may have been from Tynagh. Again, I had some possible ancestors from the former search but it wasn't sure that it was correct. The most likely seemed to be William Burke & Mary Hart (possible parents of Patrick). For Maria, there were Patrick Keating & Mary Connelly (Loughrea), John & Mary Keating (Tynagh), Stephen Keating & Nancy White (Tynagh), and Owen Keating & Kitty Martin (Tynagh).
Thank you for all help.

Hi,
Thank you for your message.
Have you tried looking for Patrick and Maria?s marriage certificate? Sometimes, in addition to couples names, witnesses etc., they can sometimes give father?s names, so it may be worth your while looking into it. Most Catholic records are held locally. One website which you may find useful is the Irish Times where they give an overview of what records are available in specific parishes. For Loughrea parish follow this link:
For Church of Ireland records check: http://ireland.anglican.org/about/42 and http://www.nationalarchives.ie/.
Depending on Maria and Patrick?s birth date you may also be able to find his baptismal cert which would list parents? names. To see what Catholic records are available in Tynagh follow this link:
You could also try searching for records at https://familysearch.org/ This is a huge database of genealogical records that has been complied by the Church of the Latter Day Saints.
Have you tried looking at Civil Registration records? These are held at the General Registers Office, here is their website:

Some other websites which you may find helpful are:
The National Archives of Ireland http://www.nationalarchives.ie/genealogy1/genealogy-records/introduction/
