Do you know much about their emigration? The dates, the reasonwhy they left, who they may have travelled with?..etc..Generally more information was given atthe port of arrival rather than the port of departure. If nothing turnsup ? it is advisable to try different variations of the spellings of the names. Michael Flaherty from Galway. Left in 1935 with entire family for Maryland. Stayed there 20 years then entire family left for Iowa. Tom (Flaherty) Garcia in Maine.

Patrick Flaherty & Honor Mannion from Lettermullen, County Galway.

Their children: Thomas, Mary Ann, and twins Joseph & Edward Flaherty.

Joseph was my grandfather. He married Elizabeth O'Flaherty, and 

then married again to my grandmother, Mary Cooney, whose family came

from Inis Bearachain. Would love to know more!

My ggrandparents were from Galway, presumably Spiddal. John Flaherty and Julia Kelly were probably born in in 1830's although John may have been born earlier as family says he was deceased when Julia emigrated. They had sons John Joseph, Michael, Morgan and Martin and one daughter Mary Ann, my grandmother. 

Julia  and her son Morgan emigrated to Boston on the SS Sarmatian arriving in the US in 1903. 

We believe all the sons and daughter lived in and married in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

We also think that both Morgan and Martin served in Hong Kong as members of the Royal Irish Constabulatory and that Martin died there from disease, year unknown.

When Julia and Morgan left Ireland, their last place of residence was listed as Spiddal.

To the best of our knowledge, Julia's other children all came into Rhode Island ports.
