I am looking for my gggrandparents Denis Maloney and Margaret Murray. They had at least 2 children, Peter ( my ggrandfather and Mary Maloney). Peter came to Boston through New York aout 1862. I'm not sure when Mary came. Peter's naturalization papers say he lived in Galway but I'm not sure what parish. Through my research I have found Maloney's in your parish in the 1901 and 1911 census but I can't make a connection to my family.
Peter married a Sarah Gleason about 1863 ( can't find a record of their marriage in the Boston area) and had 11 children from 1868 to 1883; Denis, Joseph, Thomas, Peter, Mary, Sarah, Helen, Richard, Michael, William and Stephen. They settled in the Charlestown section of Boston.
Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Clare,
Thank you for the email and your interest in how I am doing in finding where my Murray/Maloney ancestors come from in County Galway. I have been making my way through the Catholic Parish Registers that came on line in July. This has proven to be a daunting task. I have found a few Margaret Murray births but no Denis Maloney in the same townland or in the same area. As you know, some of the pages are so difficult to read but I'm not giving up. I hope there are many success stories coming out of this gold mine.
