I have just returned from Ireland on a pleasure visit with another couple. As such, I had about half of one day to go off on my own in search of my families, O'Shaughnessy and O'Loughlin.
I met a woman whose grandmother Bridget Crockery was first married to my
family member by the name of O'Shaughnessy. She could not recall his first name.
He died and Bridget married a Moriarty and then he died. Her third husband was
Shugrue. This was in Ballymacelligott, possibly Farmers Bridge which I did visit.
I have read the queries on Shugrue. Reportedly, Bridget did not have any children
Shugure. She did not know his first name either but nonetheless, this may be
a lead for the Shurgrue line.

Hi Anne,
This is great, thank you very much for sharing this! Hopefully it may help someone who is researching the same family lines.
On a side note, did you know that church records for Co. Kerry are available online free of charge?

Also, you can use the Irish Times website to see what Catholic records are available in specific parishes in Kerry:
Kind regards,

My SUGRUE family were from Dromavalla (Droumavalla, Dromavally etc) Townland in Ballymacgelliott Parish but I think the area is/was also known as Farmer's Bridge.
