Hi I am trying to find out any information on my Boyle line.  Below is some of the information I know, it was in George's marriage record that his fathers name was Abraham but I have not been able to find him. - Abraham possilby born County Kerry, possibly worked  as a clerk in Castleland (this too was on Georges marriage cerificate, I have not seen or found this marriage certificate either),family-1. George born 1819 and married Mary Ann Bernard in England prior to moving to Western Australia in1855, 2. William born 1839- arrived australia 1862 with his brother Edward born1821. Any help greatly appreciated.Dawn

  • Many thanks for your efforts, since my email I have found George's marriage entry, I was lead to think that his father was Abraham but according to below it was Michael. George was born in Ireland, he had 8 children the eldest born in Ireland-

    Fanny Boyle

                                          Born: 10/8/1853 Ireland
                                          Died: 23/3/1933 York Western Australia

                                          Married: William White in 1876 in York W.A. Reg. No 4170

    Charlotte Boyle

                                          Born: 24/11/1854 ?London England

                                          Died: Leederville 17/8/1938

    The county Kerry is found in some notes on George, according to another person he has two brother William and Edward but I have since found them in another person family tree and it does give their father as Abraham. So maybe my Michael didn't even come from Kerry. Many thanks for your help. Will keep looking.

    I have a BOYLE ancestor or two - they were Presbyterian from Co Down. I'd be interested to know what faith yours were - I've just posted a message about some of the facts I know!

  • Hi many thanks for the email, my grandmother was a Boyle and she was church of england, although I have found many of the boyle line buried in the Catholic areas , hence not sure.

    Where can i access your info just incase it might help me?

  • Hi I was always lead to beleive that my line were church of england but since doing my research I have found out most were Catholic. I was told at some stage that my line of Boyles came from county Down but so far no one  evidence of this. At present looking at Kerry. Believe that a Michael Boyle  married a Catherine Mahony in 1808. Have her death in Kerry but have Michael death in Donegal. So still looking.
