Hi,
My name is Ciara McHugh. I am looking for information on my paternal greatgrandmother's information. She was from the parish of Scartaglen, by the surname of "Bradley". Any information or direction would be greatly appreciated. She would have moved to the United States, settling in Chicago three generations ago. She was my father's mother's mother.

    You could try posting as much information as you can concerning your relatives.....i.e.... dates of births/marriages/deaths etc. Remember, the more information you post, the more likely it is that one of our volunteers will be able to assist you.

    Do you know much about your relatives' emigration? Dates, the reason why she left, who she may have travelled with etc.? Generally more information was given at the port of arrival rather than the port of departure. If you knew which city they arrived at (e.g. via Liverpool, Queenstown or New York etc....), this could be a good place to find more information.

    Have you tried checking information available for Co Kerry at http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~irlker/ ?
