Obituary: Waterbury American Newspaper Dec 2, 1912 Michael McSweeney died late Saturday afternoon after five days’ illness of pneumonia at his home on Reilly Place. The funeral took place this morning to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, where a requiem high mass was celebrated by Rev Father Broderick. The pallbearers were Matthew Shea, James O’Connell, Michael Kelly, Daniel Regan, John and Martin Sweeney. The burial was in St. Joseph’s cemetery. Mr. McSweeney was a native of Ireland and came to Waterbury about 30 years ago, just after his marriage. He had ever since made this his home and was well known through-out the city. He leaves his wife and two sons, Daniel and Bartholomew, and one brother, Bartholomew of Ireland.
