Hi Roger

Thanks for answering!  Not sure how to reply to messages so I'm just posting another one.  If there's an easier way, please let me know.

Unfortunately it's not the right family.  My great grandfather owned a salmon canning factory and my grt/grandmother was definitely from France.  Doesn't meant we're not related somewhere in the tree tho' :)
