Looking for Michael J. Lynch, Kerry Ireland, b. 1833 immigrated to Bennington, VT

According to Church Records on Irish Genealogy, Michael Healey was born in Mill, Annascual, Kerry on 1 Jan 1833 of Patrick Healy and Mary Bryan. Sponsors were Laurence Quinlan and Ann Ash.

A Michael Healey (abt 1833) married to a Catherine Healey (abt 1836) with 1 yo Maria and 60 yo Mary (his mother?) appear in the 1860 Census for Bennington, Bennington, VT. If you don't have that records, I can get it for you.

This is really interesting, my name is Murray Healey and I live in Auckland, New Zealand.

We believe the Michael Healy you mention here is my Great Grandfather who came out to New Zealand in 1857, he had a brother here at that time named John.

It appears that Michael's surname changed sometime after arriving in New Zealand and that is how we became Healey's and not Healy's.

Our research shows that Michael parents were Patrick Healy and Mary Bryan/O'Brienne we aren't sure of the actual spelling. There is a photo of my Great Grandfather in the Healy clan website.

I'm not sure but I think the Michael Healy you mention came to New Zealand and not the United States.

I would be very interested in details of the church records and finding out how many children Patrick and Mary had if this is at all possible.

i am researching our family history and we believe our Great Grandfather was Michael Healy born in Mill, Annascual, County Kerry in 1833. His parents were Patrick Healy and Mary Bryan or O'Brien.

Michael came to New Zealand in 1857 and married Grace Doherty from Londonderry in 1858 in Christchurch, New Zealand.

If you have ever visited the Healy clan website there is a photo of Michael Healy which is exactly the same as the one my father has at home.

Somewhere after moving to New Zealand the Healy surname changed to Healey (probably due to a miss spelling).

I would be interested in hearing from you if you have been able to research any information on Michael Healy just to ensure we haven't got the wrong person.
