Does anyone know anything about Abraham Tackaberry or any of his descendents. He had a bootmaking business and lived 1795-1866.

  • Thank you Miriam

We are interested in whether there was a first wife as 1 part of the family is Catholic and 1 part Protestant and the eldest son (Robert WIlliam) was born in 1827 (the only Catholic family) when Jane Tackaberry was 12 and 9 years before they got married. I am working with descendents of Robert William and my ancestor was born in 1853.

We are planning to visit LIstowel in June so we are trying to collect as much information as possible. My grandfather was born in Cork.

    Thank you again.

  • Thanks very much Miriam.

It looks like the missing clue in tha relationship.

I don't have Ro0ts Ireland but will look at it.  I have so many other geneological subscriptions such as Ancestry, Geni, and My Heritage as the rest of my family were European and migrated a lot. Ancestry actually has a lot of Irish records but not this one.

    Best wishes

  • Thanks Miriam.

Is Roots Ireland the Catholic record or does it cover both Catholic and Protestant?

    Thank you.
