Looking for family connections to Wm Brereton master of Tralee workhouse in Ratass, decd in 1848 and who was married to Alicia Eager , also his mother a widow Mrs Brereton (Jane?)was matron of Tralee County Jail who died in 1849 after Cholera out break.
Mrs Brereton may have been related to the family surname, Gordon possibly a connection to a Duke of Gordon, as her son was Robert Gordon Brereton who emigrated to Australia in 1839
Another connection to the surname Raymond, possibly related to James Raymond who emigrated to Australia with wife Aphra and was to become Sir Jmes Raymond the Post Master General of NSW. Robert Gordon Brereton was married to Elizabeth Fitzgerald whose mothers maiden name may have been Raymond.
