Hi, I am looking for any info on the surname Cruise from Ballnafagh. My 3rd Great Grandparents were Patrick Cruise of Ballynafagh and Catherine Dowling. They were married in Staplestown on 9/11/1864. Father of Patrick was James Cruise. Father of Catherine was Patt Dowling. Witness to the marriage was John Geoghan.

Hi Steven,
The Griffiths Valuation which was done in Kildare in the early 1850's has 4 Cruise records but not in Balnafagh.
The Tithe Applotments have 2 Cruise listings for Kildare; both Griffiths & Tithes are freely available online
I had a quick look on www.rootsireland.ie/ for James Cruise born in Kildare but there was only 1 - 1867 which is too late of course; you might want to have a look at that site. (It does cost though).
There were no relevant public member trees on ancestry.com
The irish Census 1901 has 8 Cruise records & the 1911 has 16; these are also freely available
