Hi, thanks for looking at this message I am researching the above named he died saving one of his cmrades on12 February 1920 could anyone search the newspapers for this event or the following enquiry into it. His service number was 0865 and he was at Finnnes Camp Ballyshannon.

    Dear Alan, welcome to Ireland Reaching Out, the aim of Ireland Reaching Out is to reconnect the Irish Diaspora with the parishes of origin in Ireland, saying that I had a quick look but could not locate any newspaper article, as Guy was in service with the  Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry, it might not have hit the newspapers here in Ireland.

  • Thanks for your reply I have the above Effects record and also other service records, just wondered the circumstances of his drowning and who was the comrade he saved if the comrade survived.
