Looking for information on family of Michael Dalton, born c1845 in Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Tipperary.  He has brothers James, William and Patrick.  All four came to St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.  Michael is my greatgrandfather.  All four married in St. John's.  Michael and James worked in the copper mines in Tilt Cove, Newfoundland and Labrador and William became a policeman.

I took a quick look on Roots Ireland and the there was no 1845 baptismal record in the Carrick-on-Suir RC parish. The closest was a Michael Dalton baptized in 1837 with father Patrick and mother Ann Walsh. The siblings I could locate were Mary, Margaret, Brigid and Patrick. They lived in Garryroe. This may be a different family.

This Wednesday the 8th, the National Library of Ireland is placing all RC parish registers online for free searching. Carrick-on-Suir is in the Diocese of Waterford and Lismore. Below is the list of the records available from the NLI.

Looks like you joined the Carrick parish in Kildare. I would go to the bottom of the home page. Find the communities in Co. Tipperary and join Carrick Suir.
