I am looking for information on my ancestors, Bernard Salley (Sally) and Bridget Fitzpatrick from the Glenadush area of County Tyrone. They married in Dungannon in a Roman Catholic Church in March 1849 and emigrated from Belfast on board the Emma Searle in May 1849 to NY, USA. I believe Bernard's father's name was James Salley. I have no other information on Bridget. If you have any information, or have a suggestion of where I should look to continue my research, I would appreciate hearing from you.
Thank you!

Joann,
You don?t say whether you have any information on Bridget Fitzpatrick?s father?s occupation. However if he was a farmer you would expect him to be listed in Griffiths Valuation. GV for 1860 lists a Mary Fitzpatrick on plot 5a and there she shares some land (8 acres) with Michael Fitzpatrick jr on plot 5b. (These are the only Fitzpatricks in the townland, so may be related to your Bridget). Generally when a woman is listed in GV she?s a widow. Michael Fitzpatrick didn?t live in Glenadush at that time, he just had the land. He appears to have lived nearby in Killymaddy with his father (Michael snr). Together they lived and farmed plots 2a & 2b there. Mary and the 2 Michaels are likely to be related but exactly how isn?t certain. Possibly sister in law to one of the Michaels.
The revaluation books show Mary remaining a tenant until 1876 when she is noted as being in America. She was replaced by John Fitzpatrick. In turn he was deleted in 1878 and Michael jr became the tenant. In turn Michael is replaced by Mary in 1880 (on both parts of plot 5). She has gone by 1885 when a John Richardson takes over.
Looking at Killymaddy, the revaluation records show the two Michael Fitzpatricks being replaced by Edward in 1877. I see his family in Killymaddy in 1901.

Noted this probate abstract in PRONI:
Probate of the Will of Ellen Fitzpatrick late of Killymaddy Knox County Tyrone Spinster who died 5 June 1904 granted at Armagh to John A. Quinn Solicitor.
The full will is on-line on the PRONI site and mentions sisters Rose Lee & Sarah Brady both now living in America.
You could search the tithe applotment records for the 2 townlands to see who was farming there in the 1820s/30s. The records for Co Tyrone are not on-line. There is a copy in PRONI in Belfast. They are filed by parish, so look for those for Donaghmore. A personal visit in generlly required to access them.
If you want to search church records. There?s a copy of the RC records for Donaghmore for the years 1837 ? 1880 in PRONI. The catalogue has a note saying: ?[Other entries may be found in the Roman Catholic parish of Pomeroy ? see under POMEROY, and there may be earlier entries in Killeeshil registers ? see under KILLEESHIL]?. These records also appear to be on-line on the rootsireland site (pay to view).
Don?t expect too much information from RC records. Generally all you get is the event and 2 sponsors/witnesses names.
I also noted a James Sally in Glenadush in 1860. He had plots 21 & 22 which were a farm and 13 acres. Revaluation records on:
