1. Need address to write the Parish of Donaghmore for church record of birth of Stewart Moore b. 21 Nov. 1847. Parents; James and Mary Ann. I'm coming for a visit on May 15th from USA. Don't know where to go to look and want to write first. gentracker

2. Plan to visit Latnamarnd, Aghabog, Monaghan. Would like to meet any willing McPhillips or Lynch in the area. gentracker 

3. Hope to see records at St. Mary's church in Newbliss, Monaghan. Looking for marriages or baptisms of Lynch or McPhillips. gentracker

4. Margaret Sullivan married Thomas McPhillips. They had a son also named Thomas b.6 Jan 1834. On the trip to America she died on the passage over. The two Thomas, (and perhaps other children), went to LaFayette co. Wisconsin. All of these ancestors are from Monaghan. Any information or hints will be appreciated. gentracker

    1. You could check for Roman Catholic church records from the Public Records of Northern Ireland (PRONI), MIC.1D/11, or the National Library of Ireland, Pos.5582. RC church records date from 1837 for Donaghmore. For C.of I. you can check here: http://armagharchdiocese.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=68

    2. Perhaps you should post this information again with the subject to read: 'McPhillips or Lynch' and then post this on the parish profile page here: http://www.irelandxo.com/group/aghabog-monaghan

    3. If you would like to visit this church and see the records there, you should write to the parish priest and arrange this.

    4. You could try checking the land records called the Tithe Applotment Books (1823-38) and see if they are listed here.
